This precious little bundle is a fighter...for life and against photos! She made me work hard to get her pictures taken. Born 13 weeks early she has had a tough start in this world, but from her cheeky little smile to her chubby little belly, you would never know :) She is just adorable though, and we worked through to capture some gorgeous photographs. So many newborns have been in the studio lately and lots more to come. There is not a more perfect thing to be doing on these cold days than turning the heater up and taking newborn photographs. Congratulations Nicole and Brad, Milla is perfect xx

I had one very special little girl in the studio on Monday. Her mummy and daddy's wedding day was my very first wedding I photographed way back 3 + years ago. ![]() To now photograph Em and Gav's first born was such an honor and privilege. I was so excited to have my first cuddles with Freya ...oh and photograph her :) She was just as easy going and relaxed as her parents, which made photographing an older newborn so easy. Being that bit older, Em and I werent too sure we would get the beanbag poses...but after a feed Freya surprised us and we managed these gorgeous shots. Lots more cute shots from Miss Freya's session... Congratulations Emma and Gavin, Freya is just devine xxx
Family photos arent all about "cheese, look at the camera, stand up staight....etc" here are Loominus Photography.
They are about existing, playing, having fun, cuddles, tickles and smooches. Thats the stuff you want your kids to remember and thats what I want to photograph. This gorgeous little family didnt disappoint either! We climbed sand hills, ran along the beach, found crabs and had a ball :) I was so excited to photograph this mumma again, with her 2 gorgeous kids, this morning. I first met them 3 years ago when Master D was born, my o my, where did those 3 years go?!? I do love when clients keep coming back, puts a big smile on my face and these guys are no exception xx ![]() Love Miss K's face when we asked her if she had a boyfriend! Priceless :) I had the absolute pleasure of photographing baby Tessa and her family on the weekend. Her very doting big sister Amber who was so cute singing her baby sister twinkle twinkle little star, and having little chats with her.
I often get asked it family photos are included in my newborn sessions and the answer is... YES, of course!! Some of my favorite images during a newborn photoshoot is the family and siblings pictures, nothing sweeter than those smiles coming out when looking down at a new baby. ![]() I'm sure anyone out there with kids will understand, but for those of you that don't here is a little run down on school holidays :) Sleep in!!!! YAY!!!! No rushing around like a mad women in the morning, after lying in bed WELL after the alarm went off, trying to get the kids to get dressed, brush their teeth, pack school bags, get lunch made (who made the rules it had to be HEALTHY???) and find those school shoes that mysteriously went missing over night!! Oh how I LOVE school holidays!! Yes the kids are home, but truly..... i actually miss them when they are at school these days (shock horror!) School holidays means lots of playing, beach time, play grounds, lunch dates with my little people (morning and afternoon tea if they want, i wont say no to a decent coffee!) and snuggles on the couch watching movies. I LOVE holidays (have I said that already??? I really do!) BUT....... The house is like a bombs gone off, I cant get in the laundry for the pile of unwashed clothes (means I don't have clothes needing folded or ironed tho!!), the car resembles a sandpit, the lounge room is a cubby house, and my photography editing is out of control!! My little photography business gets neglected during the school holidays, editing gets behind, blogging hardly happens, and I realize I have run out of USBs (yes just today I realize, when I need them!!!!) ...so those sessions I have edited cant be delivered anyway!! Far out!!! I know I cant have it both ways A) organised life and kids at school B) total chaos but oh so much fun! I know my choice.....B!! The kids won't be young forever, and they won't think mum howling out the car window like a dog is cool for ..well...much longer! So I choose B and hope all my wonderful clients totally understand. My kids come first. You will get your photos, on a USB, soon, one day, someday, soon, i promise. Enjoy life. Enjoy your kids. Enjoy school holidays. Love Tam It was a pleasure meeting Dani and Trent yesterday, and their gorgeous dog Tucker. After a messy discover at the Hopkins Mouth after all the recent flood waters, we had to think of a new location that could accommodate Tucker also. A quick car ride around and we decided on Grannys Grave, the beach was still a bit messy from the flood waters, so we settled on the dunes. I am so glad we did because just look at these photos, just gorgeous! Helps that we were blessed with beautiful weather too. Tucker thinks it was an awesome idea for Dani to say "Yes" when Trent proposed, giving Dani a big high 5! Not only is Tucker so cute, he is super clever too. Congratulations Dani & Trent. I wish you guys all the happiness in the world together (and with Tucker of course) :)
I just love it when clients contact me again to photograph baby #2 (or 3+) and I had nooo idea Erin was pregnant! What a lovely surprise that was :) Hudson was a great model, not one wee or poop on my blankets!! (Thats a perfect baby right there if ya ask me :)) A few top up feeds and a few (well lots) of cuddles from me and he went back to sleep each time. This adorable little hat is a newbie from AprilsYarnables. I was able to meet the fabulous lady and her husband, all the way from the US, at the Baby Summit earlier this month. I may just have to buy some more...what do you think? Once all snug and warm inside this cuddle sac we got some smiles...baby smiles the most adorable smiles of all :) Doesnt it just melt your heart? Chunky Knit thanks to Bumblebee Boutique (another Baby Summit purchase!) Cuddle Sack thanks to Tulin Akyuz And how could I not grab some family photos. Mum is looking AMAZING!!! And Dad as calm as ever. Fabric from the fabulous Kate at A Little Life Fabric & Props BB Master O.....well .....I had to pull out a few sneaky tricks to get him in the photos :/ But a pro knows how to do it and it worked a charm as always! Just look at him tucking Hudson in and making a fuss over him :) Such serious work being a BB. Congratulations guys on your little family becoming 4. I can't wait to share your online gallery with you :)
Wood flooring from Oz Backdrops & Props Fur from Mollycoddle Photo Props Never let anyone tell you your baby is too old for newborn photos. It is something I hear and see all the time that mums are told they must have them done before 2 weeks of age......what old wives tale did that come from? I didn't even get out of the house with my first before 3 weeks!
Here is little Lilly at 5 weeks of age posing it up for me with all her facial expressions, yawns and fluttering eye lashes. If you have a baby, no matter what age, and would like photos, contact me today and I'll happily photograph your gorgeous bubba, with all my new backdrops and props. PS. Yep another stunning romper from Georgie & Annie, ssshhhhh don't want hubby to hear :) This little poppet didn't want to miss out on all the colorful action! She was bright eyed for most of her session, but oh so gorgeous still <3
I couldn't resist trying out some of my new backdrops, and a new gorgeous little romper from a fav Etsy seller of mine - Georgie and Annie. (check them out... but don't tell my hubby!!) I have so many new props and bits and pieces I just want to try them all at once!!! Babies don't tend to want to tho...so I have to pace myself :) Oh the fun I'm having with all this color and floral backdrops!! Eekk I'm so excited!! |
